Lanzarote Series

Timanfaya Volcano, Timanfaya National Park, Lanzarote

I like volcanos. Geology always interested me as a child and I collected pyrites, geodes & quartz crystals. I didn’t like history much until I discovered the ancient Greeks, Egyptians & Romans. Lanzarote doesn’t have much in the way of ancient history (unless you pin it to the Atlantis myth, which I think is unlikely) but it does have an excellent volcano in Timanfaya. These images come from my first visit in 2002.

Have a look at the other images from Lanzarote in the gallery.
