Wollaton Park, Nottingham 2009
I’m really quite pleased with this little sequence. I took these photos last summer in Wollaton Park which is a large estate park just on the city limits. They have a stag herd and a big country house. There’s a lake and it’s great for walk with the kids. I have to say that Nottingham does very well for green spaces that are all well kept. I have a number of paintings taken from the Arboretum which I’ll show soon, plus images from Newstead Abbey (Byrons home), Rufford Park, Clumber Park and several others. Whilst I’d prefer to be in the mediterranean my local area could certainly be a lot worse.
